Our Story

Born from humble beginnings in 1997, the Eydlish family dreamed of providing bespoke drinking chocolate and chai powders to surrounding cafés in St Kilda, Melbourne.

Originally starting out...

Fast forward two decades and Maltra Foods is still proudly an Australian-owned food & beverage contract manufacturing business that prides itself in catering to cafés, but has now partnered with some of the most recognised leading retail and foodservice businesses worldwide.

In Australia, Maltra Foods has expanded its operation to three facilities, with the fourth opening in 2023. We have over 100+ dedicated staff and thousands of formulations under our belt.

Being a family-owned and run business, we ourselves understand the desire in building legacies. We are so honoured to be a part of so many people’s journeys in putting their own brands out into the world.

With three generations currently working within this business, we are beyond passionate about what we do, and we cannot wait to see how many more ideas we can bring to life.
